Jodie Sweetin reveals details on Fuller House

Jodie attended WE tv and Ian Ziering’s Pet Project Event and while on the carpet was asked about her character Stephanie as well as what is in store with Fuller House. We have included some quotes from different articles where she talked about the show. Filming for the show starts in July of this year.

“Stephanie has been sort of a bon vivant wild child out living her life, traveling the world. I think she’s going to have some really fun storylines going on,” Sweetin told PEOPLE at WE tv and Ian Ziering Raise Awareness for Canine Companions on Thursday in Hollywood.

“I think that she’s going to be kind of the black sheep of the family in some certain ways so I think that will be fun,” says Sweetin, who is especially excited to incorporate more of herself into her character. “I get to bring a little bit of my own style and personality to her so I think it’s going to be interesting to see who Stephanie is as an adult,” she continues.

Just because the Tanners are back doesn’t mean all has been smooth sailing with the favorite TV family. “As far as [Stephanie’s] relationship with DJ, I think that they have not talked for a little while. So she comes back to kind of be in support of DJ, and they’re sort of readjusting to their life,” she says.

According to Sweetin, 33, even as adults, the two characters couldn’t be more different. “DJ’s kind of got the quiet home life, and Steph’s kind of like, ‘Oh my God, this is a shock to my system.’ “

From US Weekly:

“It’s definitely a dream come true,” Sweetin gushed to Us on Thursday. “But it is a dream that has been in the works for quite a number of years. I think Jeff Franklin and I talked about it… God, I don’t know, 2007, 2008. We started tossing around ideas with the cast and it’s always been something we wanted to do, but [it] never quite worked out. When we took this meeting with Netflix months and months ago, and then things slowed down, we didn’t hear and said, ‘Okay, we’ll see what happens.’ Then it’s like all of a sudden, it’s going.”

Jodie Sweetin revealed to ETonline that although the highly anticipated Full House reboot, Fuller House, isn’t coming to Netflix until 2016, there’s a closer date to look forward to.

“I believe we’re going to start filming in July.” revealed Sweetin, who played middle child Stephanie Tanner on Full House.

ETonline caught up with the 33-year-old actress at WE tv and Ian Ziering’s “Pet Project” event to raise awareness for Canine Companions for Independence on Thursday in Los Angeles, and she shared more details on what we can all expect from the new show that has the Internet buzzing “everywhere you look.”

“We’re going to breathe life into their characters and show people what they’re familiar with but do it as adults and have fun with it,” Sweetin shared.
